Research Group: Ethics in European & International Health Policy
The research group “Ethics in European & International Health Policy” offers a forum for members of the Department of International Health and other interested staff of the Faculty of Health, Medicine & Life Sciences of Maastricht University. Members of this research group work at the interface of European, international & global health and normative-ethical questions. Members apply ethical methods and approaches to moral conflicts encountered in international health.
The research group has own projects but also gets together as a cross-cutting forum to consult running projects with regard to normative-ethical questions (e.g. the projects Euregio II or Health Literacy).
Bachelor and Master students of „European Public Health” are invited to find a discursive and constructive home base for their research projects. Regular “Brown Bag Lunches” offer student and staff members the opportunity to present their ongoing research.
