Christoph Aluttis joined the Department of International Health as a Researcher in March 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Maastricht University and a Master degree from the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance. His main focus lies in the areas of health policy analysis and health economics. Prior to his position at the department, Christoph has been involved in various projects with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Economic Affairs of North Rhine Westphalia (Germany) as well as with the WHO Regional Office for Europe.

Christoph currently performs research on Public Health Capacity Mapping, as part of the EU Tender to Develop Public Health Capacities in the EU. Furthermore he is involved in the final evaluation of the North Rhine Westphalian health target process 2005 - 2010.
